St Alex Altar Servers, Curtorim emerged as champions of the All Goa Altar Servers Football Tournament 2025 after defeating Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Arambol by a 1-0 margin in the final match.
The tournament was organised by the Vocation Commission for the Diocesan Clergy at Saligao seminary ground. Shenoy Fernandes scored all important goal.
Earlier, In the pre-quarters, Curtorim Altar Servers thumped Galgibag Altar Servers 5-0. Kingsley scored a brace while Kenosh Menezes, Jonas Fernandes and Shenoy Fernandes scored a each goal. The Curtorim side came up against St Joseph Altar Servers, Sao Jose de Areal Altar in the quarter-finals. Kenosh Menezes and Kingsley Fernandes got their names on the scoresheet to win the match. In the semi-final encounter the side edged past St Joseph Church, Shiroda via tie-breaker 8-7.
Vance Castanha was adjudged as the best striker. Chrisley Fernandes won the best goalkeeper. Shenoy Fernandes was named as the best defender in the finals.
