No matter where someone comes from, emotional struggles like pain, confusion, trauma, or the search for peace are shared by all. These experiences often lead people to seek healing and clarity. On their own journeys of self-discovery, Divya Malik and Geeta Ramakrishnan met and joined forces to create Seven Doors to Heaven – a retreat for people worldwide. The Goan speaks to the founders, who now plan to offer their healing methods in Goa
Geeta Ramakrishnan: Creating transformative experiences
Geeta Ramakrishnan is a leadership coach and a change facilitator with over 30 years of experience in human resources. Her deep understanding of human psychology comes from working closely with leaders and change-makers in demanding roles. She helps them build a growth mindset and discover their own success path.
Her method combines ontological coaching with work on the subconscious mind, creating long-lasting changes that go beyond work and improve personal wellbeing. Using science-based coaching and healing tools, she helps people move from stress to calm, so they can thrive in today’s fast-paced world.
Geeta co-created ‘Seven Doors to Heaven’, a wellness retreat that focuses on physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. She uses her holistic model to create powerful experiences for people looking for clarity, balance, and lasting success.
She is an ICF-certified motivation and wellness coach trained in the ontological approach. Geeta is also the author of Amazon bestseller The Game of Change, which is about handling change. She holds a science degree from Mumbai University and a diploma in human resources studies from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations, New York. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers (UK) and also holds a National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching certificate. She trained with The Coach Partnership, Singapore, and is certified as an ACC by the International Coaching Federation.
Geeta recalls meeting Divya Malik in 2024 while attending the same course. “Although we were vaguely aware of each other socially, we hadn’t really connected before that. This course became the turning point—our discussions about its modules sparked deep conversations. We realised we had so much in common, and yet our differences beautifully complemented each other. That connection laid the foundation for everything that followed.”
Their bond grew naturally through long conversations. They noticed that people—no matter how successful—shared a need to pause, reflect, and recharge. This insight led them to create a space where people could reconnect with themselves and return to life with fresh energy, awareness, and wisdom.
“While Divya and I come from different backgrounds, with varied tools, training, and experiences, we share the same intent—to guide people toward inner peace and well-being. There’s also an age gap between us, which in today’s world can feel like a generational difference, but that only added to the richness of our perspectives. We bring different lenses to the same truth, and that has been incredibly powerful,” asserts Geeta.
They realised that their different strengths worked well together. So, they decided to team up to help people grow and become more productive. “That’s one of the main reasons we co-created Seven Doors to Heaven. We each contribute what we do best, and where needed, we bring in other experts for elements that are outside our core areas. This collaboration ensures that the retreat remains holistic, wholesome, and deeply impactful,” says Geeta.
At present, the team includes Geeta, Divya, and two therapists who focus on yoga therapy, physical body cleansing, meditation, and breathwork. Both Geeta and Divya have seen positive results in their individual work. But when they combined their methods into a retreat format, they were amazed by the depth of transformation. The results have been powerful—yet the strength of the approach lies in its simplicity and roots in timeless values.
“It is only the beginning. Seven Doors to Heaven is a new concept, and while we’ve already seen wonderful outcomes, we know this journey has just begun. There’s a long way to go, and we’re excited for every step ahead,” smiles Geeta.
