Will riding a horse make you a leader? Never, but it can give someone who is desperate to become one, a high, says Michael Lobo the MLA.
He appealed to like-minded people including the Shiv premis to erect another horse made out of metal or wood behind the Shivaji statue recently installed along the Saligao-Calangute road. Whenever this individual gets the itch of becoming a leader he can sit astride on this horse to get the taste of a mighty leader, Lobo said, tongue firmly in the cheek.
According to the MLA, the aspiring leader will never achieve his goal so the best way for him to satisfy his urge is to sit on a high horse. Lobo did not take names but his tirade was aimed at a certain Mayekar from Calangute.
