What a mess it is in GMC with such a crowd at every OPD. Health Minister Viswajit Rane claims that GMC is one of the top hospitals in Asia. He is mistaken. Instead of people getting treatment they just waste their time finding parking with the security personnel making life even more difficult as parking is full in the campus. Even those on wheelchairs are seen suffering. There is no point increasing security personnel as Rane wants to dump more people from his own constituency. Dean of GMC has no say in the dictats and orders from the Health Minister. Even pharmacies and canteen contracts are given to non-Goan parties thus depriving locals. The Medical Superintendent is never on his seat to attend public grievances as being a surgeon he needs to go to attend to patients. Couldn’t the management have given this job to a person who is available to hear and solve public grievances?
