The nationwide Banjara Ekta Sankalp Yatra, led by Shri Sree Maharaj Ji, Dharmadhikari of the Santh Shri Sevalal Maharaj Charitable Trust, received a welcome in the State on Friday, as hundreds of members of the Banjara community joined the yatra and sought the blessings of Maharaj Ji. The yatra, which began on July 5 from Sevagad in Andhra Pradesh, the birthplace of Sant Shri Sevalal Maharaj, is spreading the message of unity, education, social reform and self-respect among the Banjara community across the country. It will culminate with a Grand National Concluding Programme on July 27 at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. Covering nearly 7,000 kilometres across 15 states and more than 80 districts, the yatra aims to strengthen national integration while promoting education, women's empowerment, preservation of the Banjara language and culture, social justice, and a drug-free and alcohol-free society.
