The Director of Education Government of Goa has recently issued a circular to all schools about conducting awareness on dog bite issue based on the Directives of the Supreme Court of India. Mission Rabies-Worldwide Veterinary Service has inaugurated a mobile digital awareness van in collaboration with Government of Goa and MSD Animal Health on July 10 at the Government High School Porvorim, Goa. The Awareness van was flagged off by Gareth Thomas, International Education Director of Mission Rabies-WVS United Kingdom, in the presence of Dr.Nitin Naik, Director of Animal Husbandry department, Rtn.Anshul Singhal, President of Rotary Club of Miramar and Dr Murugan Appupillai, India Director of Mission Rabies-WVS. Shailesh Sinai Zingade, Director of Education, Porvorim discussed new awareness initiative with the Mission Rabies education team headed by Dr Appupillai. This mobile van from now shall be moving around the schools and community areas in Goa.
