PANAJI: Goa’s traditional Kunbi fabric has been selected as a ‘focus fabric’ at the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Fashion Week in Lucknow. Goa has been declared a partner state, with traditional Goan weavers invited to showcase Kunbi fabric and sarees. Organisers will provide two free stalls for the artisans. The three-day fashion extravaganza, scheduled for late September, will bring together more than 500 artisans, designers, models, makeup artists and other professionals. The event aims to promote traditional craftsmanship alongside contemporary fashion. Organisers said the fashion week will provide a national platform for artisans and highlight India’s rich textile and craft traditions.
