The Nationalist Congress Party Nuvem block president Francis alias Franky De Mello has resigned from the post and also from the primary membership of the party. Franky has attributed his decision to personal reasons. In his resignation letter addressed to the NCP state president, Franky has thanked the party leadership for the opportunity, trust and support extended to him during his tenure. To a question, he said he has not decided his future political plans.
