Chairman of Curtorim Union J Santan Rodrigues has petitioned the Curtorim sarpanch to discuss at the special gram sabha of the Panchayat on January 26 issues relating to the preservation of natural resources, community development, besides infrastructure development. Rodrigues has underscored the need to protect the forests, waterways, and wildlife habitats and also promote sustainable agriculture practices. It has been suggested to empower the local youth through education and training, besides supporting local businesses and entrepreneurship and enhancing community engagement and participation. Santan called for improving roads, public transportation, and community facilities; ensuring sustainable tourism practices and preserving cultural heritage sites and traditions. He also called for ensuring transparent governance and decision-making processes.
