Vidya Prabodhini College ofCommerce, Education, Computer and Management along with theDirectorate of Information and Publicity, Govt of Goa organised anAll-Goa Patriotic Song Singing Competition commemorating the 60 yearsof Goan liberation movement Goa @60 and 75 years of IndianIndependence “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV”. The idea behind this wasto bring forth the poems and songs of Goan writers depicting theideas of freedom, patriotism and national integrity and make theyounger generation aware of the revolution and struggles of ourelders. The competition was open to all secondary schools in Goa andthe first place was won by Government High School, Pissurlem who werehanded Rs 10,000 cash with trophy and certificates.
