A bull was found dead in the Tilari canal at Dhangarwadi-Nanora.
Since the water is supplied to the Assonora water treatment plant, locals had been demanding the immediate removal of the dead bull from the canal.
When a forest department official Vivek Gaonkar was informed about the incident, he alerted the Pernem forest officers but locals managed to remove the bull from the river.
