PANAJIParvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Margao took the first step to mark 60 years of its establishment by digitally launching a commemorative logo at the hands of the longest serving Teaching and Non teaching staff members, Harish SS Nadkarni and Mohandas R Naik respectively on Thursday. The commemorative logo is the first of many events planned for the coming Academic Year as part of the CC@60 (Chowgule College at 60) agenda. The college was established in June 1962 by Vishwasrao Chowgule at the Military Barracks vacated by the Portuguese Army at Gogol, Margao and later shifted to their current campus in 1972. The Dean of Arts Dr Sachin Moraes while talking about the CC@60 initiative highlighted the need to work together and be re-connect with the Chowgule College Extended family of alumni and former teachers as Harshad Sawant, the designer of the commemorative logo revealed the design philosophy behind the logo- minimalist, concise and striking.
