The Department of Mathematics at Government College of Commerce and Economics, Borda, organised a one-day State Level Workshop on Skill Enhancement Courses, in accordance with the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The event saw participation from faculty members representing 18 colleges.
The chief guest Professor F M Nadaf, Deputy Director of Higher Education and newly appointed Officiating Principal of the college, lauded the concept of the workshop meant to facilitate teaching and learning in line with the NEP 2020 Mathematics syllabus for the First Year Commerce students, as it was the need of the hour. Miguel Antonio Costa Martins, Associate Professor and Head of the Mathematics Department, coordinated the workshop. The moderators for the workshop were Dr RC Nair, Associate Prof. and Head of Dept. of Mathematics (St Xavier’s College, Mapusa) and Ana Falleiro, Associate Prof. of Mathematics (GVM’s College, Ponda).
