A talk on ‘Swami Vivekanand: Goa to America’ will be held on January 12 at Vivekanand auditorium, Porvorim at 6.15 pm by speaker Prof Dr Vinay madgaonkar. The programme organised by Vivekanand Seva Prasar Pratisthan, Porvorim and Prerna Trust, Panaji is on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary.
The Pratisthan, established with the initiation of Subhavati Dinkar Bhobe, is involved in spreading the thoughts and ideologies of Swami Vivekanand in the society. The event will also have yogasana demonstrations by Sandesh Barajankar, Secretary of Yogasana Sports Association, Goa. Swami Vivekananda, before proceeding to America, has stayed in Goa for some time while he was on his Bharat Darshan Yatra. In October 1892, he had come to Goa and it is to commemorate that incident that the programme has been organised.
