A program was held by the Konkan Railway Corporation to celebrate the birthday of heritage Majorda railway station.

As a part of of Station Mahotsav, Konkan Railway celebrated birth anniversary of heritage Majorda Railway Station. KRC senior Public Relations officer, Baban Ghatge informed that the Majorda Railway station was
commissioned in the year 1888 and has completed 138 glorious years. Distinguished guests present on the occasion were Celina, Sarpanch Majorda village panchayat, Creson Antao Dy. Sarpanch Majorda, Nelly Rodrigues ex. Zilla Panchayat chairperson, Laximi Gonsalves, ex Sarpanch Majorda, Joao Menino Godinho and senior officials of KRCL. An exhibition displaying photographs of the erstwhile steam engine era along with photographs of card tickets was put up for the benefit of visiting public. Program concluded with a cake cutting
ceremony at the hands of the dignitaries.
