PANAJI: The annual Thanksgiving mass of the Entertainment Industry of Goa was held on Oct 2 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Margao.
This year the mass was held with strict SOP and safe distancing norms and was broadcast on Youtube.
Fr Joe Rodrigues, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Grace Church, Margao concentrated the mass while Cielda Pereira and Frazer Pacheco conducted the choir.
Fr Rodrigues in his homily spoke about Goa's Entertainment Industry and the current scenario due to COVID 19, but said as Jesus woke up to save the sinking ship of Peter and Paul (Mark 4:35 - 41), God will deliver his humanity from the virus in his time and we have to live in faith, prayer and thanksgiving.
In his introduction, Cedric da Costa, Writer, Radio Host & MC, thanked Fr Rodrigues for being a guiding force for this annual Thanksgiving mass and acknowledged all entertainment industry patrons who have contributed to Goa's budding entertainment industry and seeking God's blessings on their talents and instruments to serve better in the Lord's vineyard as entertainment united humanity through social events and gatherings and brought peace, joy and happiness to us.

Sergio Mascarenhas, a veteran drummer and sound engineer and proprietor of Pro Power Audio Techniques said the annual Entertainment Industry of Goa's mass is meant to thank God for the year long blessings and seek his favour to bless the entertainment industry patrons and their families.
All those who hire or work with entertainers are part of the entire entertainment industry, he concluded.
