The church of St Anne's, Ponda, celebrated its Appreciation Day on January 21 in the church hall. The Parish Priest, Fr Basil Lobo, OFM, welcomed the parishioners and Dr Wilfred Dias, briefed the parishioners about the working of the Fabrica. Sr Flavia Vaz, FSMA the Principal of St Mary of the Angels Convent High School, Chinchinim was the chief guest and guest of honour of the day. She explained the significance of appreciating our fellow members. She praised the Parish priest for organising such an event and honouring all the working committees of the Parish. She said that events like this bring in closeness among the members. The Parish Priest offered a token of appreciation to all the members of working committees of the church. Games and singing sessions were conducted for the kids and adults, followed by dinner. Annie Mendes gave the vote of the thanks. The programme was compered by Custodio Dias and Sigrid Da Cunha.
