For the benefit of patients in Goa, a cardiac check-up has been organised by Arihant Hospital, Belagavi on Saturday, April 29 at Goa Scan Center, Porvorim. Renowned heart surgeon Dr M D Dixit will be examining the patients between 2 pm and 5 pm. Patients with heart-related problems may take advantage of this camp, the hospital authorities have appealed. With his 33 years of experience, Dr Dixit has earned trust of the patients in Goa. Patients having heart disease, chest pain, patients advised for bypass surgery, heart valve disease, congenital heart disease, heart disease in newborns and children, patients with hole in the heart, breathing problems, heart failure, etc. will be screened. For the benefit of Goans, Arihant Hospital has also started treatment under Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana (DDSSY) by the Goa Government. Patients suffering from cardiac diseases will be treated free of cost under this scheme. Under the guidance of Dr Dixit, Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS) a less invasive and highly effective procedure has been introduced in the hospital. “MICS is a boon for patients who can lead a normal life after recovery in lesser days with much lesser pain,” Dr Dixit said.
