CANACONA
A youth was arrested in Odisha on charges of stealing a laptop and cash from a hotel in Patnem-Canacona.According to Canacona police, Shubham Nayak (28) had allegedly stolen a laptop and cash of Rs 2,10,936 from the hotel and had fled away. He was employed and working in the same hotel for some period of time.
After the hotel management lodged a complaint, the accused was found missing and police began a search for him.
Police tracked him in Odisha and a team was sent there to arrest him. Nayak was arrested at his residence and was brought back to the Canacona police station on Tuesday.
The stolen laptop and cash of Rs 2,10,936 were recovered from the accused.
Investigations are in progress under the supervision of Canacona PI Chandrakant Gawas.
