SANGUEM
The wildlife rescue team of the forest department led by Forest Guard Naveen Halankar and Animal Rescuer Rocky Ghal successfully relocated a large crocodile away from the Xeldem Lake in Quepem. The crocodile was first spotted near the roadside, causing alarm among local residents and passers-by who feared it might attack individuals in the vicinity. The matter was reported to the forest department who swung into action to assess the situation and ensure the safety of the public and the animal. Using specialised equipment and techniques, the team managed to safely trap the crocodile and relocate it to a suitable habitat away from populated areas, ensuring both its safety and the safety of the local community.
