The Dalgado Konknni Akademi will be releasing books of Vincy Quadros, Rajshree Bandodkar Karapurkar and Aurelio Viegas on September 26 at Our Lady of Hope Church Hall, Chinchinim at 10.30 am. ‘Chinky’’ a novelette for children written by National Sahitya Akademi’s Bal Sahitya Puraskar Award winner Rajshree Bandodkar depicts the story of an ant and her daughter. It’s a typical version of human nature of enthusiasm where the child enters the clouds to see how rain is formed. ‘Duvoll’ is a collection of 22 short stories written by DKA president Vincy Quadros. ‘Fottaxi’ is a collection of 41 humorous essays written by Aurelio Viegas. Chinky, the original of Devnagri script has been transliterated by another prolific Konkani writer Marcos Gonsalves. Cyril Leitao, president, CRC Chinchinim will release these books and the event can be viewed on DKA’s YouTube channel.
