Churchill Alemao, Benaulim MLA released the PC Trust sports magazine in honour of Fr Jose da Costa, former parish priest of Our Lady of Hope Church, Chinchinim. He lauded in glowing terms his love and enthusiasm for sports specially soccer and denouement works in all his parishes. He also presented token prizes to Saniya Chari who stood first in Std XII Science, Mount Mary Higher Secondary School (MMHSS), Mildred SMA, Anderson, MMHS who stood first in their schools at SSC. The token cash awards and citations of Rs 3000 and Rs 1000 each were distributed. Earlier Alemao and Fr Costa were welcomed by Prof Maggie Lopes and Janet Crasto. Nelson Lopes, Chairman of PC Trust introduced the guests and recalled their contributions in sports and social work. The award fund of Rs 2.71 lakhs has been donated by admirers, friends and parishioners.The award will be effective from 2021-22.
