Power Minister Nilesh Cabral laid the foundation stone for the work on the underground cabling of 11 KV feeder at Chimbel, which will cost over Rs 7.5 crore.
The foundation stone ceremony was held in the Chimbel panchayat on Thursday in the presence of St Cruz MLA Tony Fernandes, ZP member Girish Uskaikar, Sarpanch Chandrakant Kunkolkar, Deputy Sarpanch Manisha Chopdekar, panchas, power officials and others.
“I have directed the officials to ensure that the work on the underground cabling is completed within 6 months,” Cabral informed.
Cabral said that work on Merces feeder for over Rs 5 crore and Santa Cruz feeder for over Rs 6 crore will also be inaugurated in July.
