Vinod Kinlekar, the BJP-backed councillor of Mormugao Municipal Council has been appointed as president of Consumer Rights Organisation (CRO) for the State.

Speaking to reporters, Kinlekar said he had been appointed as CRO president (Goa) by the CRO National President Naveen Prabhat Sharma and Mahesh Arora.

“The CRO will have an awareness camp to train and educate people on their rights as consumers,” said Kinlekar.

“Besides, people can get in touch with us if they face any issues, irrespective if they are Goans, domestic tourists or even international tourists.”

“We will now have sub-committees for North Goa and South Goa and we will also appoint other office bearers after discussing with our higher-ups and we will choose members who are capable, honest and genuine social workers," said Kinlekar.

PANAJIIn an incident of human-animal relationship, Mugger crocodile eggs found in the forest were rescued by wildlife rescuers from the Margao Forest Department -- Benhail Antao and Julio Quadros -- under the guidance of Range Forest Officer Prakash Naik. The information was passed on to the rescue squad by Sajan Naik from the Forest department.
