PANAJI: The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) Goa, in collaboration with the Department of IT, Electronics & Communications, Government of Goa, held the valedictory event of its ‘Bridging Horizons’ series on 7 July at MES College, Zuarinagar. The event, themed “Future Forward: AI Shaping Industries,” featured Mauvin Godinho, Minister for Industries, Trade & Commerce, as Chief Guest.
Godinho highlighted that while AI is transformative, human intelligence remains central, urging youth to become technology creators, not just users. Speakers included Dr Manasvi Kamat, Mangirish Salelkar, Sagar Govekar, Capt Ruchin Dayal, Yashvit Naik, Syam Ivaturi, Gaurav Dixit, and Damodar Pai Patnekar. Launched in September 2024, the series has focused on Industry 4.0, startups, and industry-academia collaboration, aiming to foster innovation, promote entrepreneurship, and build students’ skills aligned with emerging industry trends, preparing them for the future workforce through industry-aligned discussions and capacity-building initiatives across Goa.
