BICHOLIM
A 65-year-old businessman from Bicholim died in a road mishap at Sahyog Nagar Bicholim late Sunday night. According to police, Krishna Sawant was travelling to Bicholim on a two-wheeler when he was reportedly knocked down by an oncoming car.
He was seriously injured and was rushed to the Bicholim Primary Health Centre and later shifted to the GMC at Bambolim, where he breathed his last.The car driver was arrested and was later released on bail. Bicholim police are investigating the incident.
