OLD GOA
The Old Goa fire personnel rescued an ox which fell in a trench near St Peter Church, Sao Pedro “ Old Goa on Wednesday morning.
According to information available, the Old Goa fire station received a call at 7.45 am informing them that an ox had fallen in a roadside trench, which was apparently dug for underground electrical cabling.
A fire brigade comprising firefighters Mahesh Divkar, Paresh Gawas, Gautam Pednekar, Hanuman Malik, and driver operator Ramesh Viedikar under the leadership of duty officer Amit Rivonkar rushed to the site and began the rescue operation.
After two hours of operation, the firefighters were able to free the ox from the trench, much to the relief of the firemen and onlookers.
