Mohan Sharma, who taught Sanskrit Vyakaran (grammar) at Shreevidya Sanskrit Shastra Pathshala, Rivona died of Covid at his hometown Ujjain. Sharma had travelled to Ujjain to attend the last rites of his grandmother who died there, but got infected with Covid himself and passed away on May 15.
“Sharma’s death comes as a shock and a great loss to the Pathshala management committee, his colleagues, disciples, their parents as well as teachers. With Sharma’s demise, India, and especially Goa, has lost a great Sanskrit scholar,” stated Devdatta Patil, chief Guruji at Shreevidya Pathshala, Rivona while paying homage to the departed soul.
