The Department of Physics, Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem is organising a 2-day National Seminar on “Trends in the Techniques of Preparation and Characterization of Smart Material” at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on March 3 and 4. The seminar is supported by the Directorate of Higher Education. The objective of this programme is to provide a forum to bring together renowned scientists and major research groups working in the field of nano materials and its application to exchange their ideas, knowledge and experience in the area of nano materials. Some of the principal speakers are: Prof. B N Thorat, Director of Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga-Mumbai; Prof. C D Lokhande, who has published over a thousand research papers from Shivaji University, Kolhapur and Prof. Gaurav Lohar, Indian Science Congress Association Young Scientist Awardee, InSc, UGC Meritorious Fellow among others.
