Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik spoke on the concerns about recent heavy rains and flooding, assuring that those who have suffered losses will be compensated.
"People complain whether it rains or not. What can the rain do?" said Naik. He emphasized that the government will help those affected, especially farmers. "We need to check who all are affected, especially the farmers, and help them first," he added.
Naik stated that he will coordinate with directors to resolve the issue and will consider paying some amount to the Kalakars of Goa. He was responding to media questions about the floods and the impact on farmers and others due to heavy rainfall.
