MARGAO: The South Goa District and Sessions Court has dismissed the anticipatory bail application filed by Rajdeep Pundalik Kundaikar in connection with the case registered by the Margao Police in respect of the forged power of attorney and fraudulent sale of plots.
The court said the application for bail deserves to be dismissed because there is prima facie case against the applicant.
The custody of the applicant is also required for the purpose of carrying proper investigation. If the custody of the applicant is not given, the applicant may threaten the witnesses and try to tamper with the evidence.
In this case, a complaint was registered before the Margao police alleging that the applicant forged a power of attorney and fraudulently sold two plots of land belonging to Moosa Sale Mohammed.
The court said the applicant would be required to know who and how the stamp paper was purchased.
