A team of experts deputed by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) visited the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Padre Conceição College of Engineering (PCCE), Verna from April 8-10. Subsequent to their visit, The Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programme of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Padre Conceição College of Engineering (PCCE), Verna has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for the academic years 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25. This is the second cycle of accreditation for the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Programme. During the first cycle in the year 2008, three undergraduate programmes viz. Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Engineering and Bachelor of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering were accredited by NBA. Accreditation is a process of quality assurance and improvement, whereby a programme in an approved Institution is critically appraised by a peer team to verify that the programme continues to meet and/or exceed the norms and standards prescribed by the regulator. It is a recognition which indicates that the programme fulfils certain academic standards.
