Karnataka Law Society’s Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi, has been conferred with Accreditation A+ Grade by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC). The institute has received the A+ grading consecutively for the second time and the accreditation is for a period of 5 years. Giving details about the achievement, Principal of the College Dr Jayant Kittur said that the accreditation is based on their comprehensive assessment on the parameters such as teaching, learning, research, industry-institute interface, societal concerned activities. “Other factors like alumni performance, transparency and efficiency in governance and overall academic excellence as well as the quality of students and teachers are also very important,” Dr Kittur said, adding that this is due to the sustained excellence achieved by the institution. “Gogte Institute of Technology is the most preferred engineering college for students from Goa. A large number of Goan students are pursuing their engineering degrees here and the college has a huge number of alumni who are serving in India and across the globe,” Dr Kittur said.
