On the occasion of the "Amrut Mahotsav" of India's independence, the Transport and Travel Wing of Brahma Kumaris has planned a bike rally to create awareness on road safety among the general public. The objective of the rally is to spread awareness on various aspects connected to road safety and also to encourage youth to abide by rules and blend speed with safety and spirituality. The bike rally will be held on Sunday, April 10. A small inaugural ceremony will be held at Azad Maidan, Panaji at 3.00 pm. The rally will cover the entire city of Panaji and adjoining areas of Miramar, Dona Paula, St. Cruz, Merces, Kalapur, Bambolim, etc. The rally will consist of 75 bikers / scooters and a few four-wheelers. Director General of Police and Padmashree Award Winner Brahmanand Shankhwalkar will flag off the rally.
