MARGAO: Chandor Club prevailed over Curtorim Gymkhana 5-3 via the tie-breaker and moved to the semi-finals of the Tavares Family Memorial Cup football tournament, organised by Cuncolim Union, at Cuncolim ground, on Tuesday.
Curtorim Gymkhana scored the first goal of the match through Mackson Fernandes in the seventh minutes. Three minutes later, Brivon Dias equalised for Chandor.
In the tie-breaker, Chandor Club converted through Akram Yadward, Joaquim Carvalho, Fhezer Gomes and Rizbon Fernandes while Vicky Cardozo and Rhay Dias netted for Curtorim Gymkhana.
Chandor Club to Fhezer Gomes received the Man of the match prize from Viraj Dessai.
Chandor club will now meet Canacona SCC on January 27.
