MARGAO
A Drawing Competition was organised on Tuesday by Chandor-Cavorim Village Panchayat Library under the Directorate of Art and Culture and Goa State Central Library in two categories. Co-ordinator Librarian Jesica Dias welcomed and stated that it is the celebration of artists that live among us and also explained the importance of a library in a village as every child should inculcate the habit of reading. The Sarpanch Estefanio Dias addressed the gathering. Judges for the competition were Celine Coelho Furtado, Irwin Antao and Nebraska Antao and prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners and participants. Winners are as follows - Junior Category: Fayola Gomes (first place), Raynal Miranda (second), Abner D'Costa (third); Senior Category: Rovana Peixoto (first place), Akon Peixoto (second) and Veleda Cardozo (third).
