Colva police arrested a native of Delhi for allegedly attempting to murder a native of Bihar at Cavelossim on late Tuesday. Colva police station in-charge, PI Tukaram Chawan informed that the accused person Vikas Kumar (26), a resident of South Delhi allegedly abused one Bhushan Kumar Thakur (23), a native of Bihar with filthy words over the issue of caste system before assaulting him with a broken beer glass bottle on his stomach, thereby causing injuries. The accused has been charged under section 307 of the IPC for attempt to murder.
