OLD GOA
Tiatrist Franky de Paroda has appealed to youth to come forward to support the Old Goa fast satyagraha so that they contribute towards saving the heritage for future generations.
Speaking to reporters on the 36th day of the satyagraha on Wednesday, Franky said elderly people like Florinda and others are fasting on a daily basis because they are concerned about protecting the heritage.
“However, youth are the future of Goa and have to take lead in such agitations so that the heritage is preserved for future generations,” Franky stated.
“Also, today not too many people turned up in support of the satyagraha, which should not be the case as it is the duty of every Goan to oppose such illegalities in heritage areas,” he added.
Franky was accompanied by activist Xavier Afonso and others.
