PANAJIThe annual Feast of Epiphany, popularly known as the feast of the Three Kings, will be celebrated in the Church of Reis Magos, Verem on January 6. Being the main feast of the Church, it is celebrated by the entire parish community. There will be a low mass at 7.30 am and the Solemn Concelebrated Feast Mass will be at 9.30 am at which Rev Fr Dr Socorro Mendes, Parish Priest of St Anthony’s Church, Siolim, will be the main celebrant. On January 7, the Feast of Our Lady of Health will be celebrated by Lester Carvalho and his family near the chapel of Our Lady of Health at the foot of the Church. The Feast Mass will be at 8 am. There will also be a Mass in the Church at 5 pm on that day. A Konkani tiatr entitled ‘Bharadik Khuris’ by Prince Jacob will be staged in the Church compound on January 6 at 7 pm.
Christmas party held for underprivileged kids
MAPUSASuraksha Warriors Kids Christmas Party with fun, games and activities was a huge success with 75 plus children's and few parents taking part in the event at Canossa Samajik Vikas Kendra in Arpora. Several games along with music and dance were organised for the underprivileged kids on the occasion of Christmas. The kids were also provided with gifts.
