Simon Fernandes is the new sarpanch of the village panchayat of Varca.In the election held on Monday, Simon was elected to the post. He succeeds Charlton Lourenco, who had quit the post recently.Meanwhile, Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao has congratulated the new sarpanch and has assured the panchayat all support to usher in the development of the village.
