Goa Livelihoods Forum (GLF) in collaboration with the Directorate of Arts and Culture, JCI Mapusa and Manas Developers, hosted Ms Yashaswini 2024, a unique event celebrating International Women's Day with a focus on sustainability. Juliana Lohar from Wish Goa, Arz was felicitated for the exemplary work of rehabilitation of the marginalised communities. Sneha Naik was crowned Ms Yashaswini 2024 - Sustainability Warrior. Venecia Vaz George and Shreya Vazarkar were awarded the first and second runner-up positions while Kshitija Salgaonkar secured the third runner-up position.
The programme, themed around sustainability, featured a fashion show, a sustainable product exhibition, and a pitching competition. 20 inspiring women from across Goa participated, showcasing their creativity and commitment to a greener future. The event was graced by the presence of powerful women including chief guest Dr Sneha Bhagwat, guests of honour Amita Salatry and Siya Shaik, special invitee Ruchika Dawar, and judges Rahila Khan, Aisha Beig, Prerna Pawasker and Chitra Kshirsagar.
