The Goa Medical College earned a feather in its cap with its diagnostic laboratory for HIV/AIDS got accreditation which will make its reports acceptable in any country of the world. The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration of Laboratories (NABL) has awarded its certificate of accreditation to the State Reference Laboratory (SRL) and Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre (ICTC) 1 & 2 which is at the GMC campus. HIV diagnostic and AIDS monitoring services are provided at the centre conforming to international standards. With this NABL accreditation, reports issued by the laboratory will be accepted globally.
