Inter-state bus damages temple in Canacona

CANACONA

An inter-state bus heading towards Karnataka damaged a roadside temple at Gulem-Canacona late Wednesday night.

According to Canacona police, the bus (KA-51-B-410) damaged the Bhumipurush Temple and while no one was injured in the mishap, a portion of the temple has been badly damaged.

Canacona police has registered an offence against the bus driver and has detained the inter-state bus.

Locals of Gulem have reportedly demanded the recovery of cost to repair the damaged portion of the temple.
