MARGAO: Joe Cookies Veterans got the better of Verna Veterans 6-4 via the tie-breaker to move to the semi-finals of the 4th all Goa Veterans football tournament, organised by Batora United, at DSYA ground, Curtorim on Thursday.
Joe Cookies netted two quick goals through Joe Rose in the fifth and 10th minutes. As the match progressed, in the second half, Verna veterans netted through Seby and Remy in the 46th and 50th minutes respectively.
In the tie-breaker, Joe Cookies Veterans netted through Agnelo, Krishna, Joe Rose and Johnny while Seby and Remy were on target for Verna Veterans.
