PORVORIM: Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte joined farmers in the paddy fields at Kharrem-Socorro on Saturday to highlight the importance of agriculture and connect with the community. Speaking to the media, Khaunte said he has been working with farmers for the past 17 years, helping introduce modern methods and providing support while personally joining them in the fields to understand their challenges. He said such involvement encourages the youth to see farming as a viable profession and raises awareness about its significance. “We are seeing the younger generation in Porvorim taking up agriculture, which is a positive sign that it will continue to thrive here,” Khaunte added.
