PANAJI: Under the chairmanship of Dattaraj V Salgaocar, who is devoted to the cause of wildlife and a keen photographer, VM Salgaocar Trust has instituted a chair in wildlife studies at Goa University in memory of his father VM Salgaocar with full financial support, inviting eminent personalities who have done outstanding work in wildlife and conservation in India and abroad.
The first lecture under the VM Salgaocar Chair for wildlife studies would be organized by Goa University with noted wildlife expert and conservationist and photographer Dr. Anish Andheria from March 9 to 10 at 3pm in D-VRPP SEMINAR HALL, Goa University. He will also conduct a workshop on nature and wildlife photography on March 11 at 10am.
Andheria is the President of Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT) set up with the intention to preserve, protect and conserve wildlife and climate change. WCT works in 130 national parks and wildlife sanctuaries across 23 states of India.
