Reading in the newspapers about renaming of cities and remember the past renamed cities i.e. Bangalore to Bengaluru, Calcutta to Kolkata, Madras to Chennai, Belgaum to Belagavi and Panjim to Panaji, etc.
This was like taking the country a thousand years backwards. Those names were then 600 years old. Imperialism is no more, even if names had remained the same imperialism would not come, but these names was the speaking history. Renaming had gained nothing only our future generation had missed history. Doubtfully it is likely an experiment to make India a Hindu nation.
All the renamed places were of Hindu pronouncement and going forward renaming places has no end.
I only pray to our Goemcho Saib not to put in the minds of certain elements that our beautiful Goa be renamed as Govapuri or Gomantak.
