No doubt what a letter writer has said and published in local papers is very true about the leakage of water from tankers especially while they are climbing the slope and accidents have taken place. I saw many two wheelers have slipped and fallen down from my house at Dona Paula opposite to our NIO Staff quarters while they were driving on this slope. These tankers have nowadays increased their trips since there is a shortage of water in the taluka but do you all know the water is been collected from the Taleigao wells where there is seepage of sewage as sewage tankers are seen dumping sewage in nearby fields at Taleigao in middle of night and the same finds its way to nearby wells from where water is collected by water tankers and then supplied to houses in Dona Paula, Bambolim and even Panaji and the owners of these houses without realising are drinking this contaminated water.
The government should step in and collect the samples from this loaded tankers by sending to analytical department of Health Services and if contamination is found must seal these tankers.
