In the recently held elections of the 41-year-old Madgaon School Complex Cooperative Credit Society, Prof Babaji Sawant of Damodar Higher Secondary School of Science (Margao) was re-elected unopposed as the chairman. The returning officer, Raju Magdum, assistant registrar of Cooperative Society, South Zone, declared the result at the meeting of newly elected Board members.
The board of directors will work for the next five-year term 2021-26.
The members elected on the executive body are Sandeep Redkar of Damodar Higher Secondary School Gudi Paroda (secretary), Peter Gomes of Rosary Higher Secondary School, Navelim (vice-chairman) and Lourencia Vaz e Rebello of Our lady of Rosary School, Fatorda, (treasurer). Apart from these Dr Sanjay Savant Dessai, principal at CES College, Cuncolim, Prof Dr Gunaji Dessai from Chowgule College, Margao, Tulshidas Dessai, headmaster Murgao High School, Headland Sada, Sarita Fernandes, Presentation Convent High School, Margao and Jose Pereira from Our Lady of Destoro High School, Vasco were also elected as members.
