Navi Pahal is a book sponsorship scheme of Raj Bhavan, to promote young writers from Goa who desire to get their first book published in Konkani, Marathi, Sanskrit and Hindi. The book to be published should be on fiction, non-fiction, poems, biography, autobiography, travelogue, anthology, etc. Raj Bhavan has formulated a scheme to help young writers to print/publish their first book. A Committee will finalise the book of top 60 writers under this scheme. In the scheme, it proposed to publish 25 Konkani books, 25 Marathi books besides 10 books in Hindi and Sanskrit. Writers, who would like to avail this scheme may submit their application to the Special Officer to Governor, Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula by post or hand delivery within 15 days on or before March 10 with all details, including bio-data of writer, draft copy of the book.
